A case of young male, with negative history for heart disease, who was scheduled for abdominal surgery due to an adrenal tumor, is presented. During the surgery, the patient unexpectedly developed bi-ventricular dysfunction. Causes of cardiac dysfunctions as well as the utility of MostCareï, an uncalibrated blood pressure wave-based (pulse wave analysis) hemodynamic monitoring system powered by the Pressure Recording Analytical Method (PRAM), are discussed.
