In the framework of the theoretical literature related to the transition and consolidation of democracy, this article seeks to analyze the mechanism of democracy and its possibilities in line with the new political developments in Turkey. The Republic of Turkey has experienced fragile and evolving experiences of democracy; Therefore, the main topic of the article is not the transition to democracy, as Turkey has been through the initial transition to democracy since the 1950s, but the process of consolidating and consolidating democracy in this country, because Turkey's shaky democracy has always been characterized by instability and fragility; Therefore, the author wants to answer the main question of which direction the political developments in Turkey are moving, given the victory of the Islamist party "Justice and Development", which many in Turkey consider a new stage in the country's democracy. On the other hand, this study intends to address the issue of the political developments in Turkey, given the Islamists entry into the realm of the power of the political system through the channel of democracy. And it seeks to confirm the main hypothesis that Turkish democracy is moving towards the stage of consolidation and consolidation, and macro-structural changes and the balance of power in the new Turkish political arena are the basis for the consolidation of this process.
