The growth stages of the Late Cretaceous radiodonts Squillannorumlaminam (Birch 2002) and Kabutops maximus (Oak 1995) are identified and characterized. Three growth stages are distinguishable in both species by the presence and absence of several clearly identifiable growth characters, and suggest ecological segregation of juveniles and adults, with juveniles hunting small prey in open waters and adults hunting larger prey in the shallows.
